  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: chop onion, mince garlic, dice celery, and cube potatoes.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter and sauté the onion, garlic, and celery until softened (about 4–5 minutes).
  3. Add cubed potatoes and chicken broth; bring to a gentle boil then reduce heat to simmer for 10–12 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  4. Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper; stir well.
  5. Slowly add milk and heavy cream while stirring; simmer gently for 5–7 minutes without boiling.
  6. Fold in lump crab meat; let it heat through for another 3–4 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving garnished with fresh parsley.
