- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups beef stock
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 stalks celery (chopped)
- 8 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 large carrots (roughly chopped)
- 3 medium Yukon gold potatoes (cut into cubes)
- Fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)
Instructions
- Season the beef with flour, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat and sear the beef until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the pot.
- Sauté chopped celery, onions, and minced garlic until soft. Stir in tomato paste and roast beef base; simmer for a few minutes.
- Add beef stock and fresh herbs to the pot; reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Cook for about 2 hours.
- After simmering, add cubed potatoes and carrots; continue cooking for another 30–45 minutes until tender.
