Ingredients
- 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 1 lb sausage (Italian or smoked)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and brown sliced sausage for 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add sausage back into the skillet and simmer for another 3–4 minutes. Toss in cooked pasta, mixing well. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley and serve.
