Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or smoked)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and brown sliced sausage for 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then stir in honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add sausage back into the skillet and simmer for another 3–4 minutes. Toss in cooked pasta, mixing well. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley and serve.
