Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Smoked paprika (optional)
  • Dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: slice sausage, dice potatoes, chop cabbage and onion, mince garlic.
  2. In the slow cooker, combine sliced sausage, diced potatoes, chopped cabbage, sliced onion, and minced garlic.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and dried thyme.
  4. Pour in chicken broth until ingredients are lightly covered.
  5. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are tender.
  6. Stir well before serving and adjust seasoning as needed.
