Ingredients
- 2 lb thinly sliced sirloin steak or boneless beef chuck roast
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 4 tbsp water
- 1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets
- Cooked white rice (optional for serving)
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips and mince the garlic.
- In a bowl, mix beef stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic until well combined.
- Add the sliced beef to the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over it.
- Cover and cook on low for about 5 hours or high for about 3 hours until tender.
- To thicken the sauce, mix cornstarch with water in a small bowl and stir into the slow cooker about 30 minutes before serving.
- Add frozen broccoli during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot over cooked white rice if desired.
