  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon milk

  • 1 ½ cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  2. In a bowl, sift together both flours, baking powder, salt, sugar, and spices; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; stir until just mixed and pour into the greased dish.
  5. Mix topping ingredients (sugars and pecans) and sprinkle over batter.
  6. Pour hot water over the entire mixture without stirring.
