Description

Peanut Chicken Lettuce Wraps with Ginger Garlic Sauce are a perfect blend of vibrant flavors and refreshing textures, making them an ideal choice for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sambal oelek (chili paste)
  • 12 leaves of Boston lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped lightly salted peanuts
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (I use a paste)
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 green onions, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional – makes it more tangy)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional – helps the sauce thicken)
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sambal oelek, honey, ginger, lime juice, garlic, green onions, rice vinegar, cornstarch (if using), and sesame oil.
  2. Combine about 3/4 of the sauce with the ground chicken and peanuts in a mixing bowl; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the marinated chicken mixture for about 10 minutes or until cooked through.
  4. Serve scoops of the mixture in lettuce leaves and drizzle with remaining sauce. Top with cilantro and additional peanuts as desired.
