Ingredients
- 1 stick salted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 5–6 ripe peaches
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Place cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and melt in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk and vanilla; mix until just combined.
- Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl.
- Layer half the peaches over melted butter in the baking dish, pour batter over without stirring, and then layer remaining peaches on top.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes until golden brown.
- For maple butter topping, mix remaining butter and maple syrup in a pan; boil for 2 minutes.
- Serve warm with ice cream and drizzled with maple butter.
