Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb baby potatoes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Optional: green onions and toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, honey, minced garlic, black pepper, water, and sesame oil; mix well.
- Boil baby potatoes in a pot of water mixed with vinegar for 12–15 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; add the cooked potatoes and pan-fry until golden brown (about 4 minutes).
- Pour the prepared braising liquid over the potatoes; toss to coat and simmer for about 5–6 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion before serving.
