  • 200 grams ground pork
  • 400 grams lean ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 100 grams crustless bread
  • 125 ml white wine
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 810 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Dried oregano

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, ground beef, egg, crustless bread, white wine, minced garlic, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls (about the size of golf balls) and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the meatballs in batches until golden brown on all sides (about 5-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter, stir in flour to create a roux, then gradually whisk in hot water or stock until smooth. Add lemon juice and season to taste.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet with sauce and simmer for an additional 10 minutes until heated through.
