  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup fruit jam or preserves (strawberry, raspberry, or apricot)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and softened butter until crumbly. Add eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  3. Divide the dough in half; roll out one half into a rectangle to fit the pan as the bottom layer.
  4. Spread an even layer of fruit jam over the dough. Roll out the second half of the dough and place it on top, sealing the edges.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely before drizzling with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk.
