Ingredients

  • 16 ounces marshmallows (jumbo or mini)
  • 7 cups Rice Krispies
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for the base)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 34 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Easter egg candies for decoration
  • Green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Grease cupcake pans with butter or non-stick spray and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine marshmallows and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Microwave on high for about 2 minutes until melted; stir until smooth.
  3. Add Rice Krispies to the melted mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Spoon mixture into greased cupcake pans and press down firmly using wax paper to shape into nests.
  5. Allow nests to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes before carefully removing from pans.
