Ingredients

  • 1½ tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 oz kataifi
  • 4 oz pistachio cream
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • pinch salt
  • 6 oz ice cream (pistachio almond recommended)
  • 16 oz milk chocolate, chopped
  • ¼ cup refined coconut oil (or other high smoke point oil)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and finely chop thawed kataifi.
  2. In a pan, melt butter and toast kataifi until golden (8–10 minutes).
  3. Mix the cooled kataifi with pistachio cream, tahini, and salt; fill molds one-third full.
  4. After freezing for 30 minutes, fill molds with softened ice cream and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  5. Melt chocolate and coconut oil; cool to room temperature before coating.
  6. Dunk each bar into the chocolate until coated; let set.
  7. Optionally drizzle with melted pistachio cream or candy melts and garnish with toppings.
