  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare the secret sauce by mixing ketchup, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Sauté sliced onions in a skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of butter until caramelized (about 10 minutes).
  3. Shape ground beef into four patties and season with salt and pepper.
