  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Garlic salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Mix taco seasoning with the cooked beef and transfer to the greased pie pan.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, salsa, one cup of cheddar cheese, garlic salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the beef layer in the pie pan and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
