Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 rings (13 ounces each) kielbasa, sliced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cans Great Northern white beans, rinsed and drained
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil and brown the kielbasa for about 7-9 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter and sauté the onion, carrots, garlic, salt, and pepper until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over vegetables; stir for another minute.
- Gradually add chicken broth, milk, and Worcestershire sauce while stirring. Bring to a simmer.
- Return kielbasa to the pot along with white beans.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until thickened.
