  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ½ cup (113g) butter, melted
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (256g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Mash bananas in another bowl; add melted butter, sugars, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda; fold into banana mixture until just incorporated.
  5. Pour half the batter into each pan, layer with cream cheese filling, then top with remaining banana batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
