Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs
  • ¼ cup creamy salad dressing (like Miracle Whip)
  • ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hot sauce (to taste)
  • 4 drops red food coloring
  • 4 drops blue food coloring
  • 4 drops green food coloring
  • 3 cups water (divided, or as needed)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs in a large saucepan covered with cold water. Bring to a boil, turn off the heat, cover, and let sit for 20 minutes.
  2. Cool the eggs under cold water, then peel them.
  3. Halve the eggs lengthwise and separate the yolks from the whites. Mash the yolks in a bowl and mix with salad dressing, mustard, salt, pepper, and hot sauce until smooth.
  4. In three small bowls, mix food coloring with 1 cup of water each (red, blue, green). Soak egg whites in colored water for about 15 minutes.
  5. Fill each colored egg white with the yolk mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
