Ingredients
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 tsp loose leaf Earl Grey tea)
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 4–5 fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
- 1–2 tsp vanilla syrup (to taste)
- Optional: 1 cinnamon stick, ice for iced version
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, simmer cherries with 2 tbsp water over low heat for 3-5 minutes until soft. Mash gently.
- Boil 1 cup water, steep the Earl Grey tea bag for 3-5 minutes, then remove.
- Add milk to the saucepan with cherries and heat gently, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in vanilla syrup to taste.
- Pour brewed tea into a mug and strain the cherry-milk mixture into it. Mix well.
- Serve hot or allow to cool slightly before pouring over ice for an iced version.
