Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz pasta (farfalle or your choice)
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 oz fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup lightly toasted pine nuts
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, sliced lemon, and minced garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until golden.
  2. Boil a large pot of water and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain using a colander.
  3. Combine hot pasta with the garlic butter mixture in the skillet.
  4. Stir in another 2 tablespoons of butter and Parmesan cheese; mix until cheese melts.
  5. Fold in half of the fresh basil until slightly wilted.
  6. Serve topped with remaining basil, pine nuts, and cracked black pepper.
